My first car was an 88 chevy celebrity station wagon and I was happy to have it even though it was an 88 chevy celebrity station wagon lol. Think I paid about $2500 for it and it lasted me over 2 years so it was a good car until it was stolen.

My first car was a 2001 kia, which I got for $2500 after all fees from a dealership. It didn't look as nice as some of my friend's cars, but it saved a lot on gas money compared to them. It's lasted me over four years now, and the suspension is going out due to the potholes this winter. Planning on upgrading to a 2015 wrx here in a month.

I have a 08 Nissan Altima that I got for about $16,000. If you have the money, you should get a new one just because they're more reliable. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, you should buy a used one and save up money for a better car in the future.

I Spent 2850 on my RX8 lovely car. But at a Price of 500 road tax a Year and killer 4500 insurance.

But the rx8 is a car which is on my list of cars I want to own in my lifetime.

I'd advise you to look up on a car you want. You want used because part are cheap and easy to come by. Also new cars deprecate value soon as it comes out the showroom.

Also save up for it you don't want to be paying 150 a month you want no problems no stress because if you have a bump and need to pay there's 150 out of your monthly budget gone which would cost the same as fixing a bump and respraying the area.

I'd advise you to go with a Seat I love them little quirky cars. You don't want a ford fiesta or a corsa like everyone in your year will have you need something which is yours and no one else has

1998 Saturn SL2
$1800
Low cost for insurance and about 28MPG.
Spent about $1200 on replacements throughout the time i had it.

My personal opinion that First cars are supposed to be cheap, cause you're learning. You will need to learn how to drive cars first of all, and then how they work once they break down. If you disagree, FINE. I grew up with a family that was hurt for money so if i wanted a car, i needed to work for it and purchase it with my own money. Since then my current truck now is a 04 Dodge Cummins and have a 07 suzuki drz 400, and i know them inside and out because of my errors from before.
