Your car looks quality!

However, I have a rookie question: Aside from looking badass, what do the fans in front of the intercooler do?

those are actually dual hella horns and not fans, also my car comes with a TMIC " top mount intercooler " which is why there is a hood scoop not to confused with the radiator which is what is hanging behind my horns.

No such thing as a stupid question just a stupid answer

I was concerned about running the pitch stop since it is my daily driver and I will likely not autox it but I do have the kartboy f/r endlinks. There are a bunch of things I am planning with the car but have not typed everything out yet and I do not plan on doing the uppipe or ewg etc and plan to keep it basic.

catted DP, pro tune, ebcs and maybe an upgraded tmic if I end up buying another car to have as a DD I maybe go rotated turbo with forged internals with e85 but I am getting ahead of myself since no power mods are happening until I am out of warranty.

With the pitch stop on my 2012 it made a huge difference by the way the car stuck to the pavement and was daily driven..Your rods are forged and good for 550hp with a conservative tune and light foot but as a engine builder i would say nothing over 450hp on stock rods..i've seen a cpl bend at 500hp the cast pistons are the weak points and any were over 350hp your gonna have a ticking timb bomb..hey but it's always nice to think ahead and plan it out..i own a shop mostly imports with a few domestic's,we do everything from street builds to all out race engines..actually just built a 66vw with a 2380cc turbo that made over 450hp on low boost 6psi..done 2 wrx builds not including my 2012..Im starting to tune quite a few on e85 and my dd 99 civic with ls/v turbo made 602hp on e85..the e85 is a smart move

Update time

Decided it was time to give my car a full detail " since you know it is 4 months old and has less than 5k miles " which including interior, engine bay, wheels/tires, exterior wash, dry, iron X, claybar, washed again, dry, quick detailer to remove water marks followed with Sonax PNS. The water beads off of the car now like crazy. With the PNS it is really easy to clean and the car feels wet at all times too bad the pictures don't really give it justice.

Also added a red pinstripe to the front grille along with installing rain guards.

Picked up a new set of wheels yesterday just need to clay bar and clean them before I install. They are OEM BBS from the 04 STI the only year these came in 5*100 which makes them highly desirable

I plan on adding a set of wheel spacers but not sure what size, somewhere between 15mm-25mm just want to research more since I know the larger the spacer the more wear you put on your wheel bearings.

Very very nice WCDT.
Insurance must be pretty hefty right?

But a great car anyway, love these, and that red pinstripe is just :bubblegum:

Awesome car, looking forward to seeing it when the wheels are installed properly with a few extras :dealwithit:
