To be honest the logo you made is quite flawless, as for the background its following the more generic youtube trends but some serious credit on the shapes of the logo!

I agree with Zef that you deserve props for your logo. It's a really clean vector image. But then you kind of went with a generic YouTube design, and it kind of ruined it for me. But still, the logo was nice. Good work man.

I don't know if it's just me, but I couldn't tell the logo was a D until after I read Zef's comment, and really looked at it.
