I am building a new PC and i wanted to see if these specs would be good.

GPU: 2 Xfx HD 7950 Black Edition Cross-Fire
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz
PSU: CORSAIR RM Series RM1000w
Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
Case: Corsair 500r Carbide Series Arctic White
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series h100i
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (4 x 4GB)

I would suggest using a single R9 290X instead of two old gen cards. MSI make a great cooler for it so go with that.

Well it depends what you want the system for, if its just gaming then its overkill in most ways. You can save a LOT of money by custom building and choosing better parts.

Its likely that the two cards would beat that single card, and as most of AMD's cards are branded HD Series it doesn't matter. He could probably save money getting 2x280x's which are basically 7970GE with a lower clock, then lower the power supply to something like a 600/650w.

Also, you have the e-poon the size of a manhole.
