So I recently found a 1990 Dodge w250(Power Ram) Le cummins with 185k miles in my town. It has no upgrades as far as I could tell (I went for a quick look, checked for rust, leaks, suspension etc.) and looked pretty clean. It will need new tires definitely, and probably proper maintenance. The guy is asking 6,500, but I'm not sure that's a fair price. I'm looking for any opinions on whether I should make an offer or leave it alone.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near that for it. If you like it, offer him something and go from there but don't pay more than is necessary. If it was me, I'd offer $3500 and go from there, try to get it as cheap as possible. Then again, if it was me, I'd be putting alloys on it and slamming it to the ground.

I'm just going to leave this here;

are you kidding me "185,000 miles trannys about to fall out" youre honestly moronic if you think that a cummins will start to die at 185k diesel motors esspecially cummins motors run into the 600k range as long as you keep them well maintained my truck has close to 200 and thats on a gasser trust me if you got a cummins with those miles you can run it to hell and back twice the only reason people hate the trannys is because they beat them to death after they drive it for a week

Are you dumb or are you stupid? I didn't say anything was wrong with the motor. The trannys on those trucks are complete shit, i know people with 04's with 200,000km on them and they've already cooked 2 or 3 trannys and they dont even rip on them.
