Introduction

The Football season is just about over, that can only mean one thing! It's almost time for the biggest International Football Tournament in the world.. The 2014 World Cup, coming to us from Brazil!. In this topic you will be able to find information about the World Cup such as the Groups and the fixtures of the games.




Dates/Time Difference

The World Cup starts Thursday 12th June with the Group Stage and will finish Sunday 13th July with the World Cup Final. Brazil are 4 hours behind regarding time difference to us here in the UK so should a game be scheduled to kick off at 3pm in Brazil (Local Time) it will kick off here in the UK at 7pm. All the times posted in the next section will be in UK time (BST - British Summer Time).




Group Stage

There are 8 Groups in the World Cup, each consisting of 4 Teams. The are ordered alphabetically, starting from Group A and going all the way to Group H. In this section you will find what teams are in which group and also the fixtures throughout the Group Stage. Along with the times, i will also include the location of where each game is being played and what channel you can find it on should you be interested in watching it. The Group Stage starts 12th June and finishes on the 26th June.

We are finally here! The biggest game of the tournament and the biggest game to be played for at least the next 2 years (Euro 2016). You don't get to the World Cup Final by being lucky, these two teams are to be seen as the best 2 teams the world has to offer so this is one game you really do not want to miss! As with the previous rounds, below you will find the time and location of the game.

Maracan, Rio de Janeiro

Home to CR Flamengo and Fluminense FC, The stadium Opened in 1950 and has a Capacity of 78,838 seats!

Arena Corinthians, Sao Paulo

Home to SC Corinthians Paulista, this stadium has been specially built for the World Cup and is due to open this year, i will have a capacity of48,000 seats (World Cup: 68,000 seats)

Mineiro, Belo Horizonte

Home to Cruzeiro EC, this stadium opened in 1965 and has a capacity of 64,000 seats

Estdio Nacional de Braslia Man Garrincha, Brasilia

This stadium was built for the World Cup and isn't currently home to any Brasilian team, it opened last year and has a capacity of 71,412 seats.

Home to Cear SC and Fortaleza EC the stadium opened in 1973 and has a Capacity of 63,903 seats.

Home to EC Bahia this stadium opened last year and has a capacity of 53,700 seats

I'd add it, try to just add everything related to the world cup here, so that when people need info about it, they can always come here
