As the title says, it's about that.
DayZ SA is way past Alpha/Beta and is basically a full game now. A Alpha/Beta doesn't last 6+ months with very little happening to it other than maybe 1 hat/gun added every other week. As far as I see it, it's the full game release. When people moan about it being broken and someone says " Well it's only an alpha! " isn't an excuse anymore.
People who try and dispute this must have an amazing reason on why you can't call this a alpha/beta anymore. I remember when Rocket/Dean wanted this SA released 2 years ago for Christmas, what would of it been then? Just a drawing of an axe on the screen?
Simply, the rant is just to say, don't defend the game when your only valid reason is " Oh! It's still an alpha!! " it's been out for over 6 months. The game has been worked on for 2+ years and by now, it's classed as a full release in my opinion.

Until they remove that message, it's still in Alpha stage.
They can say that all they want, in my roughly 8 years of gaming, I've never seen an alpha/beta last more than 1/2 months. It's not even like they're doing big updates to improve the game, they release a new gun/hat every other week.
Basically, if a new game comes out, a simple paragraph can justify a games state? Nope, the game development and time the game has been out justifies its state.
Like I said, a game with 2+ years development and 6+ months of being out, that should 110% be a full release. For example, H1Z1. They've had... 6 months development and they're already bringing out a beta. They're way ahead of DayZ with 1/5 of the time DayZ has been out and they're already ahead.

Just because it's been in development for 2 years, and the Early Access alpha has been released for 4 months, you think that means it should be a complete and perfect game by now?
Take a look at Duke Nukem: Forever, that game was in Development for 15 years before being released, you can't judge a game, saying it's complete just because it's been a long time.
The game is done, when it's done.

Duke Nukem didn't take 15 years of development. They planned the game 15 years ago and it never came out when they planned so it kept getting pushed back. -- Well, googling it, it went though law suits and such that kept it pushed back. It didn't physically take 15 years to make the game.
Like I said in my first post " don't defend the game when your only valid reason is " Oh! It's still an alpha!! " " when that's basically all you're doing.
Simply copying and pasting a paragraph that doesn't determine a game isn't a dispute to a reason. But if you think a paragraph can justify a whole game, what's the point of reviews when people can just type a paragraph saying
" This game good " and you'll believe it?
And the " the game is done when it's done " it will never be finished. Even massive DayZ streamers say that. And DayZ fanboys, feel free to keep down voting posts.

Defending the game? I haven't even played DayZ Standalone. I have no reason to defend it.
All I'm saying is, if the developers say it's in Alpha, why do you choose to believe that it shouldn't be in Alpha? Things take time, and obviously the DayZ devs are taking their time.

You haven't played the game but you're gonna believe what a paragraph says without knowing what the game is like? Well. I honestly don't even know how to reply to that.

Well like Dil said, Duke Nukem took 15 years and that game was just a laughing stock. Also, Aliens Colonial Marines took a while and that was horrendous. DayZ is just done, they've made their money so they're putting minimal effort into the game now. You'd think with the hundreds of millions they've made, they'd at least fix basic bugs.

The dayz devs are upgrading the whole game and not focused on 1 part of it at a time, they only have a 50 man team all split up working on network issues, vehicle coding etc. H1Z1 was constructed faster because they used the game engine from their previous games, which allows them to take models, game mechanics etc. DayZ will take a while to be complete (just like the mod) you just have to have patience.
