Up to this point, the only CoD game i've been let down by is BO2. The incredibly entertaining gameplay that Black Ops brought us in 2010 gave CoD fans all over the world a new favourite. I've always been a man of the Modern Warfare series, but there was something about this game that I loved.
Treyarch then decided to drop a completely new set of gameplay when they introduced Black Ops 2. Having played the fast paced, terribly entertaining Black Ops for so long, the game was a flop to me. Slower, and displayed appalling maps that only diminished their chances of me ever playing that game. They went futuristic on us, and they didn't do such a good job in my opinion.
But, of course, everyone has their opinions, eh?
Back to my point,
Advanced Warfare goes even further into the future than recent games have travelled. You could see from the trailer that the graphics are truly amazing, as they were in Ghosts.
However, there is a sense of joy when playing other Call of Duty games, when it comes to historic battles or modern-time fiction(Excluding BO2 and Ghosts, the latter of which I think is breathtaking). It's so much easier to connect to the story and the spirit of the game when it's not supposed to be happening in 2050(or whatever) because that's what the classics have been all about. We have futuristic games such as Halo, GoW and countless others. I won't be able to enjoy the game as much as I did the rest(of course, excluding Black Ops 2).
Just my opinion, and I won't be buying the game. It's all the classic CoD games from now on.

you will probably end up getting it. Its the same thing everyone says over again. I can see it now. in about a years time. we will see the NEXT CoD to come out and.. you will most likely say "ive been let down by cod: advanced warfare" and you get people saying "ohh, i hope its better than advanced warfare" etc.. as its happened since after cod 5. I will get it, as i know it probably wont be the best cod, but at the end of the day, its the newest cod to date, if you really hate it that much, sell it. No harm in trying it first before you judge a game when you havent even played it. You never know, you might like it lol. But companies these days dont put any new ideas worth buying these days. Just look at EA LOL

like you said, everyone has their opinion. but NOBODY knows what this game is gonna be about or can say its going to be bad. you can only relive those old wars so many times. with this game they are apparently talking to people that study the future an what not an can some what assume what it can be like. or something like that. i can see how that probably made me look like a complete dumb ass. lol. just look it up. all im saying is dont judge a book by its cover. could be great, and it is caall of duty. and youll still buy it. and so will i. along with joe blow, and the next guy, and the next guy

I think people are getting caught up in there own little 'gaming' world of *How good is the story line *what are the graphics like *How much will it cost etc... If you find yourself playing it for a duration of longer than 1 hour plus then it obviously can't be that bad. At the end of the day its purpose is to entertain you and keep you occupied so even if you play the game for less than an hour a day it still isn't doing bad is it? ''If your playing it your enjoying it''. As 'similarity' goes i'm gonna have to say no cod is similar... they all have different guns/maps/perks/layouts and all have a different feel, if you want change then go play a different game because call of duty are not going to drastically change anything because then it would not be COD! I really don't understand why anyone would say this looks rubbish (atleast give a valid reason) XD. Rant over, you'll all probably still buy the game anyway.
