I'd recommend the
Turtle beech x12s
Really good I had them before my ASTROs

for 40 bucks you can really get much but in tht general price range are the turtle beach x12's that go for around 59 dollars they are a great comfortable headset but are still very durable if you are firm on the 40 dollars then i would recommend going with the turtle beach xl1's they are 39 dollars. i actually prefer them over the x12's because they are lighter

Back when MW2 first came out, Turtle Beach made the best Wired Headset for under 50 bucks. They called them the X11s, by far the best headset I have used, not including Astros.
