if the game is FTP and there are things to buy in game like guns, or cosmetic things, I honestly have no problem paying 20 bucks for a pack or 20 bucks for 10000 coins or whatever the case maybe be. The game is still FTP and I complete support helping give a gaming company money, its not a big deal to me. Ghost recon phantoms is a good example, Ive given 40 dollars to ubisoft and I believe that is perfectly fine, Ive been playing ghost recon since I was 6 years old, its not a big deal. But people feel the need to ridicule me and say "oh well you are paying to win" and I object that statement. If you buy a gun in game for 10 dollars rather than use the default gun, obviously it will have its perks, but you can not buy the skill of the player... jsust because you bought the best gun in the game for 10 dollars doesnt mean you are going to be OP. You have to have skill, its not like paying money for a gun will automatically make you Jesus on a stick... I also do not mind paying a few bucks for cosmetics like a mask or a helmet, or gear. It just doesnt make sense to me why people call me "cheater" or "bad" or "gay" like it doesn't make sense to me. If I get ragged on for buying in game items for a FTP game then I think people who buy things like battlefield premium and stuff should also be ridiculed. All battlefield premium is a bunch of cosmetics... (I'm premium)

It's obvious why someone would make fun of you when you Pay-To-Win.
It's one things to buy cosmetic items, it's another to buy things that will improve your in-game play.

I've actually never heard of this happening. If I was you, I'd just ignore them.

youre really not paying to win to be honest, I have to best shotgun and sniper rifle in ghost recon phantom and I go positive 97% of the games with atleast 2 captures and we still loose... I feel like individual and team skill is a factor, not how much money you spend.

Bottom line is that micro-transactions ruin games.
Clash of the Clans is the biggest example of a Pay-To-Win game.

What the heck? I buy in-game items all the time and people actually congratulate me for it, It means you probably are dedicated enough to the game to be able to donate money out of your paycheck for it, and plus even you would need help with the game, (not specifically saying you) I think that paying money is a good thing. Just ignore the haters. Haters gonna hate.

If you have the money and you wanna spend it on that than I'd say to go for it. It's your money so spend it on what you want, just ignore the people who are hating.

Well this is my problem.

Free to Play games are becoming more popular because they generate more money. You can have ads, and justify it, while still charging for almost everything besides the main game.
I don't agree with this business practice, I believe if I WERE to spend any money for a game, I should get the game then.
Example: If I buy an Xbox game, it should come with a spending free experience, except for DLC. The DLC HAS to actually be worth it though. If I buy a phone game or anything on a phone game, it should be to unlock a full version.
But when you spend money on microtransactions, you are giving them reason to continue. So while you may be "supporting" the developer, they make so much money already, that it's overkill to justify them charging for such a reason.

According to the documents King Digital Entertainment filed recently, Candy Crush Saga generates not $100,000, not $200,000, not $300,000 but a brain exploding $3.5 million EVERY DAY. That's 70 times what Flappy Bird was making every day. That's $105 million per month. That's $1.26 billion per year. Please let that sink in for a moment. $1.26 billion per year, from a silly little iPhone game.

Not all micro-transactions are bad. I think Micros transactions can only be done for cosmetic games and not pay to win, like LoL, ghost recon and other crappy games. Some games that have done it right that come to mind are Path of Exile and Dota 2 which you can only purchase cosmetic games. If you pay to win you are a terrible person.

I will say that I buy gems on CoC, but it's my money. I spend my money how I want. I have a job that allows me to do that.
My friends don't understand why I put real money into the game. I just tell them, if you have extra money to spend then use it on whatever you want. It is just like you going out and buying dlc or a regular xbox game to play online.
The only time I actually see people getting mad at this game is when they can't afford to buy the gems on there. In no way do I feel like it is PTW. I feel like I am making my chances to win stronger, but I'm just having fun being able to do more things more quicker than other people.
All in all, it's not your money at the end of the day. People get hated on for spending their money, it's stupid.
Micro-transactions do not ruin the game.
