Hey guys, so I have been givin a computer (thinkpad) that i bought off my friend. He forgot his password and username and the guest account does not have any permissions what so ever. im runing on windows xp :p can anyone help me reset the admin account?

There is a method to reset the password using the sticky keys exploit, just google how to do it. Or you could install windows 7, which will be better, security wise and pretty much everything.

I would just re-install xp. If the computer is older anything newer would just slow it down.

Or I think there's a way to get into it through safemode
