Do what I do, Tell your parents to hold your controller for as long as you need to study and then have your parents quiz you. If you ace the quiz you can get your controller back. If not, then keep studying.

Keeping everything unplugged is a start.
Always study before even playing games, or getting on your computer.
If you want to play when you get home, just set a timer for how ever hours you want, then study after.
