Im 17 years old. Ive worked hard & saved up. I recently purchased a 2010 Subaru Impreza *Premium Package* & i want to trade it in for a 2013 Mazda MazdaSpeed3 Touring.
Mazda Speed3: Hatchback (It only comes in a Hatch)
$22k
10k miles
263HP
Navi
6 Speed Manual Transmission
Impreza Premium: Hatchback
$17k
27k miles
160HP
Premium Package
Automatic Transmission
Subaru Impreza $263/month
MazdaSpeed3 $398/month
Both Ratings are 3.9% w/ 72 month financing.
I want to know which is a better deal. Knowing that I'm going to have that car for 6yrs, i don't want to make a mistake and regret buying the wrong car. Ill let the TTG member decide. Honestly I like both. I just want a Manual Trans car but i wont let that be my ultimate decision.

I would stay with the Subaru honestly. A manual transmission won't be ideal, especially if you drive in a city everyday. I would not leave it up to TTG to decide your ultimate purchase, because then you won't be happy with the car.

I live in nice open long street roads. & i do like both cars, the mazda is super clean nice red color & it has no problems. the subaru is the same, it has a few minor scratches and the bumper is a bit crack but because of the previous owners. I love driving around too with power. but i respect your decision so, so far Subie: 1 Mazda: 0

I agree with first response.
Personally, I would go with the Mazda.
I would go with your personal preference and not let people decide your main source of transportation for the next six years.

Flounder wrote I agree with first response.Thats true, but then again i like both cars. I just want to see other people opinion on what they think is a smart choice. I can do so much w/ a stock Impreza. It would be a better choice if it was a WRX/STi but its not. Also the fact that its a automatic is ehh. I was driving stick the other day and omg it was more exciting knowing that i can control my RPMs & power between gears. But i respect your decision. Subie:1 Mazda: 1

If you have the choice to get a WRX instead of just the impreza, I would get that. You proabably know the difference but if you don't, the WRX is turbo'd as well as the Speed 3. I have a WRX STi and my second choice was actually a MazdaSpeed 3. Mazda cars IMO drive very smooth and are well built. Rather fast also.

My friend bought a WRX for 14k w/ more than 100k miles. honestly i wouldnt do that. i rather save up and buy one new. I just love WRXs & STi. But a regular impreza is nice too. Just as long as its a hatchback, i would be fine with it

Yeah, WRX'S really hold there value. I would definitely get the Speed 3 then! Pretty fast car! The only down side is that since it's front wheel drive, you can't really drive it with one hand without it slipping away from you. Just keep that in mind when buying. But other than that, very solid cars!
