I'm looking for a cheap/effective tablet. I am going to be using this for media and games. my budget is about 100 dollars. I don't really care if new or not

Check out swappa. You could probably get a decent, used Nexus 7 for that price.
Be weary of the <$100 off-brand tablets. There is a reason they are so cheap.

If you have a lot of money to spare, the Sony Xperia Z2 tablet is a monster when it comes to specs and design!! So slim and the ppi is breath taking!!

Your best bet is the Nexus 7. Wait a few weeks and they might announce the new one, although they are usually around $230. You shouldn't buy a $100 tablet. It's a piece of shit and will not work well.
