There's a few things, I'll just name a couple here;

* The whaling sound of snoring when you're trying to sleep,
* The screeching of metal against metal (you know that really high-pitch, annoying as hell sound? Like a knife being dragged down a dinner plate? Yeah, that ear shattering noise.)
* People ignorantly assuming things.
