Did you unplug the cords in the back? make sure there in fully unplug them and replug them in. If that doesn't help maybe you broke your disc tray.

no i didnt its just normal wear and tear i guess i did have it for 5 years with no maintenance done to it.

Buy another disk drive and get it installed.

The hassle of a new drive for a system that is aging would be pointless when other things could go wrong you can get pre owned slim 250gbs for 95 pound now in game and brand new xbox 4gbs for just over 100 you would be better off with one of them at least you know it would last you a lot longer

It's an easy fix it happens to me you need to replace the lazer for like 5 pound don't worry top you could try pot tweak it hope I helped
