I have the asetek 510lc liquid cooler for my cpu, as I bought this as part of a computer a while ago the price of this alone wasn't specified. I can't seem to find any price info on this at all. If any one can help I would really appreciate it.

Asetek coolers that are not re-branded are OEM models, so you won't find them available. They're re-branded and sold to consumers; for instance, the 550LC is the Corsair H50. I'm not aware of a cooler that is a re-branded 510LC, but if the model numbers make any sense, it performs worse than the H50 (ouch). The H510LC may be OEM only.

I had a feeling it was of quite low quality, would a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO be an improvement?

It's a good cooler for the price! It is easy to install as well, and will be more than enough for now. Make sure it will fit... I am actually using it right now. Don't push overclocking though because it won't be very good under extreme conditions.

Yes, the 212 Evo will perform significantly better than the H50 and you have a lower-end model than the H50.

I have one in a push pull config, my 4.5GHz FX 6300 tops out at 55C under load.
