I have around $25,000USD. I can go a little higher if needed or any lower if i want.

I was thinking about buying a used STi or a brand new Ford Focus ST.
Any ideas on any other cars that would be good as a daily driver?
I work from home so not many miles will be put on in unless
i go racing on weekends or do other stuff mostly weekends only.

I would go with the Focus for the two cars you said, but I also agree with GMC. I would look in to the Genesis.

Are you on crack? Hyundais are sh**.

You sir are the one on crack! The genesis got a v8 or a turbo charge v6 and its fast for stock so how's that sh**?

Genesis's are fast but not faster than an STi or even a WRX. My buddy has raced plenty of Gens in his WRX and smoked all of them. Nice cars don't get me wrong but are not "a lot faster than a STi."

In consumer report, subaru was actually rated #1 and I do love fords as much as I like Subaru but the Focus's were rated rather low. I would prefer an STi because they hold resale value better and a just a lot of fun over all. But it's your decision man! Do what makes you happy. There's my opinion

You need to figure out what is important to you, IE fwd, rwd, awd , turbo or N/A , is a warranty important, do you want new or buy used?

I love the sti and I have a WRX myself but I personally would be concerned about buying a used car like an sti in fear that it was beat like a redheaded stepchild, but that is me since I travel around 50 miles a day I wanted something new with a warranty.

If I did not have to worry about putting so many miles on the car each year I would go with a b7 s4, maybe an e46/e90 bmw m3

a great car that you should definitely consider is the Subaru WRX its a little over your budget at around 26,000 dollars but its defiantly worth the buy it gets 28 MPG highway and around 21 MPG city so its go fairly decent gas mileage. a few other cool thing it includes are a voice activated gps navigation system, Automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and SI drive with allows the driver to adjust throttle response and shift modes.

heres what it looks like you can also get it with a spoiler if you would like
