Not sure if anyone else has a problem with this, but I recently bought the Jet Set Radio Future , PC version. To try and bring back some memories and just because I felt like it was a game that shaped my childhood, so I load up the game and I realize RIGHT OFF the bat, this main menu is different, im like ok, I play the "tutorial" level and its entirely different, there is no free roam mode like in the original, its cut out pre determind follow the leader tutorial, nothing like the original version, the first mission is lame, its the same area except you are timed and there is no free roam mode, I do not remember being timed and I remember actually having to skate to the map area not just choosing it off of a map. Litterally everything about the game is different, I also know that the Final Fantasy HD remake they did, is not even a remake at all, they enhanced background things... thats not even a remake.

Why make a remake if you are not going to keep the game original...

I'm all for it as long as they don't deviate too much from the original path of what made the game in question good.

The Halo remakes are something I'm personally looking forward to.

They could have just changed the color of pants the character wore and it would be considered a remake.

They made the game differently, they remade it, they made it with better quality, graphics, storyline, w/e. If you don't like it don't buy it.

Why make a remake if you aren't going to keep it original?

It's called a remake for a reason.

I've always liked playing remakes if I enjoyed the original game. Going to stick with Nintendo for the most part with this one. Pokemon, okay, I've been a huge fan since I started out on it and have enjoyed every remake that has come out(except Black 2 and White 2 as I haven't played that yet) but FireRed/LeafGreen, Emerald, Platinum, HeartGold/SoulSilver, I did enjoy and am looking forward to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, now I played so much of the Wind Waker on GameCube and the HD remake was perfect for me, don't think anything was changed other than the graphics, but still, that was perfect for me, a game I enjoyed so much as a kid, in HD.

Metroid Zero Mission, a remake of the first Metroid game, with extra added to it. The first Metroid game I played and I used to try to do speed runs on it while getting it 100% for the items. I know I started on that before the original Metroid, but it was still a remake and I loved playing it.

Sonic Adventure 1&2, I'm not too sure if anything was changed on the PC, but they are considered remakes on the PC from the GameCube and Sega Dreamcast, played both of those a lot on my GameCube, when I switched over to PC gaming, bought them again and played them all until I finished the games and had all achievements for Sonic Adventure 2.

I don't think I have played a remake I didn't like or at least that I can remember, all I know, is Nintendo, Super Metroid HD/remake pls.

I agree to an extent. I would hate to see old favourites (Jet Set Radio is also one of mine) ruined by something being created as a 'tribute' to the past games.

I haven't really played many XYZ-HD remake games besides Halo and a couple of others.
Like the Halo anniversary model, you could play as either the classic Halo or as the newly revamped version... It kept the game the same and the Halo feeling was still intact.

I'm hoping that the New n Tasty remake coming out mid June will be all I expect of it. Oddworld: Abes Oddysee IS my childhood.

 So, how do you suppose we find out whether we like it or not without buying and playing the game??? You buy a remake expecting it to be brilliant like the original, not sceptical about whether you have just wasted your money.

I don't know whether you just don't read what people put or are just ignorant...

So, by your logic you think that if you have one bad 'remake' then you should never buy any remakes ever again?
We were saying that whilst most are quite good, a few of the remakes aren't worth the money that you pay for them - Something which you won't know unless you put the money in to buy the game and try it out yourself.
Games don't just magically appear for free for you to play by staring blankly at your computer screen.
