Heyyyy guys
So, if anyone has been watching '24: Live another day' then they may see where I'm coming from. (No spoilers! Only up to 2nd ep!)

But do you think technology is advancing to fast? For example, a realistic example on '24' was that a group hacked into the US military's controls, and took control of their armed drone, and shot a group of US soldiers in Afghanistan. This could realistically happen I guess.

I'm not saying it is advancing too fast, just asking you guys.

Do you think technology is advancing too fast?

Technology has brought us so many things that benefit us is so many ways.

Sadly its human nature for some to see if they can turn it against us

More technology the better in my opinion, unfortunately there will be people who use it for harm but think how many lives are being saved with the advancements in the medical field. On another note it is funny watching the first season of 24 and remembering smart phones didn't exist at one point

Technology isn't advancing fast enough.

Technology will never be considered to be moving fast enough in my opinion until we have a steady replacement for the use of fossil fuels.

I don't to see how this has anything to do with technology "advancing too fast"

But to respond to the actual question, no, it's not advancing too fast. There's a lot of really cool things that are being done that weren't possible even 10 years ago (too tired to link to anything)

But if you want to let a TV show convince you that the world is headed towards robo-armageddon, so be it.

It's pretty obvious how it relates?
When un-manned drones where first invented (Whenever that was) there wasn't a thought of being hacked and controlled by someone else. But as technology has advanced a lot, some people can now get into even an ultra secure server such as the military just sitting at home.
Yes I know this is a TV show, but it is realistic...

Too fast?

the hell?

Why would anyone want technology to be moving slower?

Would you prefer a car that costs $15K and goes 0-60 in a second, or a car that costs $120K and goes 0-60 in 2 seconds?

technology = good
slow = bad

So you're asking whether or not technology is advancing too fast, and you use a TV series as an example. Yeah, nice one.
No, it's not; the public have little to no idea about modern technology, they just think they do. What you see as "new" is years old.
