Im currently in gold 2 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
and usually lose lane such as 0/1 0/2 etc. I usually farm pretty well but my laning is quite weak. As a marksman main i feel like i position really well for my ranking in fights because i go from going 0/3 to 7/3 and 0/1 to 9/1. Im just looking for any assistance on how i can better my laning phase and micromanage things like when to cs vs trading

Honestly there is nothing anyone can say to help, it's all practice, i just kept playing normals to practice until i felt confident and i carried myself from s3 to silver 1 from 0LP
too 100 and skipped s2 then went straight to gold 5 and that where i'm at.
So to sum it up practice would be my answer and i know it sounds like a generic answer but it's the easiest way haha.
hope this helps

I agree with oxi, practice makes perfect man, however as a marksman, (adc) you also would need a good support, if the support isnt laying down his life to save yours, then he isnt a good support, if he isnt taking risks to get you double kills, then he isnt a good support.
I personally as a support main think that a marksman is only as good as his support, and vice versa.

Bs. There are tips, it's not all about practice. There are legit tips that can help you in lane, here are some for marksman but can apply to other lanes too:
- Try to trade when your opponent comes up to cs as long as you're not losing cs for it. (I'm talking a lucian q and an aa, just little trades). Doing this means that the enemy laner has to either take the damage to get the cs or miss the cs just to trade back with you. It's a win/win.
Learning when to freeze and push the lane is crucial to laning well. If your lane opponent is going to b then normally you'll want to push a couple waves as quickly as possible so that they miss the cs to their tower. Make sure that this doesn't result in them freezing the wave near their turret.
If you have a lead you can freeze the lane near your turret to zone them from xp/gold and if they come anywhere close it's free damage.
