No let me explain is to you. You need little downs, and high rounds so effectively you could call it Round / down ratio. The thing is, if you get high rounds and no downs then you will naturally have a good KD which is why alot of people thought it was that

It's all-around how you play and your k/d. Also how much you play zombies. So it's based on a lot of things I believe

As Diamond stated is not about your KD. Ppl ranked up in round skipping glitches with no kills and ranked up because they didn't have any downs. The higher the round you make it to without going down in a string on games will rank you up. The other side of that is if you have to many games with a lot of downs consistently you will derank.

Facts we know :

Once you pass the bone-double bone rank and reach the skull you cannot be deranked unless reset by Treyarch for glitching.

Not playing will not derank you , you will only lose tally marks

Tally marks are days played and blue eyes are obtained when you hit 5 tallies.

If you don't play for 24 hrs it puts you in a losing streak where you have to play for the next couple of days to start regaining your tallies.

It's possible to gain more than one tally per day but not more than 2 or 3.

Rank is not reflected upon your stats or leaderboard scores.

Rank is determined by your recently played games taking in your rounds reached against your downs for those games .

LOL. this guy hangs around this forum just watching for these kinds of posts.

Lol point taken. The "KD theory" gets to me slightly so every time I see a thread about it I have to lay down something so the poster doesnt get false info.

You have to have a kd of 150 to have shotguns mate if you get down in low rounds they derank you but if you go in another game & play at least to round 15 you get it back.

It's pretty much everything, although K/D is a big part of it, it's all around skill, rounds, deaths, K/D, headshots included!
