You do realize that is how every generation was, right?

As for OP:
People like to generation bash because they're the idiots they are talking about.

They are generalizing a small group of degenerates as if they were the majority of hundreds of millions of people.

You started talking about humanity and then moved onto the younger generation and expect single answers?

Humanity - We should all die, we are a bunch of self important monkeys flying through space on a rock which we are destroying. The 'good' you speak of doesn't happen as often as it should, and evil prevails in this world, it is so blindingly obvious.

The younger generation - Every generation is different and every generation has it's flaws.

There are many horrible people in the world but people tend to forget about those that are nice / normal.

The media highlights the evil and does not really credit the good.

It really grinds my gears when people say "no faith in humanity" or "i don't want to live on this planet before" and adversely "kill it before it lays eggs".

I'm sorry but if we go to psychological reasons behind everything, all acts of the human race are discernible. Pedophiles have something wrong mentally, it's not like they choose to fancy kids. I'm sure many of them wish they didn't however they can't help that. People murder for many different reasons, cold blooded murder is foolish and I agree in life imprisonment, however for people to say kill them or or torture them, nah are they stupid?

As for the point at the bottom of your thread, we live in an age where people who are as young as us automatically assume that were are all as one. I think the diversity between the ages of 10-30 (our generation) is impeccable. We have so many flaws on all ends of the spectrum, yet we choose to nit-pick on certain things.

I for one, personally detest those whom wear beanies and snapbacks inside, especially when they wear no shirt. However I wouldn't say I have no faith in humanity over it, it's just a faze people go through.

No idea where I'm going with this, I just thought and typed haha.

aNaughtyCuban wrote Albeit the generation will have its burnouts, there is no doubt, but there will be those that will bring great things for humanity.

QFT.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: this generation is the smartest, and quite arguably the best generation in human history. But, idiot 14 year olds that think they're sooooo intelligent think that everyone is a "swaggot" or "thug", and that everyone else around them are all idiots, except of course them. lol.

Really ???.

Im sorry to burst your bubble but you are wrong!.
So far this generation has done very little to aid humanity in any way and all the technology that we all rely on and want to have has been designed and built by the generations that came before you.

Generations past buit all our technological achievements out of nothing where as this generation is only building on the technology that is already there.

There is hope for humanity but only if we loose the shackles of the old world (Religion).
