Persist wroteIshcabible wrote Honestly, with that budget everything sounds pretty similar.
What budget would we be talking if I wanted some speakers to use at a big a*s house party?
Well my favorite cheap party speakers (ie not necessarily neutral, but easy to drive loudly) would be the Cerwin Vega D series speakers. They aren't in production, but their current speakers aren't terrible, but they don't have any active speakers that I know of. Honestly, party speakers are usually big, which usually means expensive and require an amplifier, which is even more money. If you don't really care about sound as much as loudness, get the speakers you saw and a Lepai 2020A.
The Soundsticks are crap for loudness. I've been to a few parties where they tried using them and they just distorted so much I was afraid they'd blow.

Persist wrotebrands lie about their watts idk how but if you look up brands like Pyle, boss, pyramid, none of them give out correct wattsiown3dyew wrote Remember, you get what you paid for. Those probably aren't 700 watts either.
Why wouldn't they be 700W they can't exactly lie to buyers.
