Yin wrote I can get behind evolution since it does have evidence to back it up. I think it is kind of foolish if someone dismissed the evidence. I mean, if they want to take the evidence and try to place other theories for the evidence, that is fine. Totally ignoring evidence is not an ok thing to do. Not going to go on the topic of religion though. Those topics tend to be frowned upon, and I don't feel like getting a warning over something as minor as a religious discussion.

I don't want to start a huge argument based on beliefs so I'll just say this. I'v seen all reasonings supporting evolution but cannot get behind it. Reason is because I just believe it's impossible for one kind to change into another kind (example; All types of dogs are one single kind.). I just believe that people have a common misconception about the definition of the kind and the family levels of classification. Scientists talk about evolution but have almost no evidence to support it. Darwineon evolution calls for a change in kinds to occur. But yet scientists say they haven't observed the changed in kinds needed to support it. You can't test evolution, observe it, or prove it; period. All the evidence is one type of bacteria changing into another type of bacteria. The reality is that no one has proof of anything. Religion is the exact same type of belief as Evolution; you can't observe evolution but you believe in it; just like you can't observe God and I believe in it.

Hi,
If you want an example of evolution to help you understand it and that it is real. Just go look up on YouTube on how a baby develops. After you watch that, tell me if you think it's not possible. We evolved, it's a fact, we were just not smart enough at the time the Bible was written to understand it. You have to remember that the Bible was written by man, thousands of years ago. I mean if you can believe that someone can walk on water, make wine from water, and come back after death (which even by today's standards would be impossible to do for a normal human being) then whats so hard about understand that humans evolved into what we are today. Another example. A baby turns into a boy, who turns into a teenager, then a young adult, then an full adult, then finally an old adult. Umm what do you call that?? hmmm evolution maybe?, yes evolution. Short term of course, but if we can evolve short term then just think how we evolve long term.

Everyone keeps mentioning the "overwhelming" evidence of evolution. While there is some evidence, it is far from proof. In fact there is more proof that the Bible is correct than there is for evolution. Cave drawings of dinosaurs. How did early man know about them if they didn't coexist? Human footprints with dinosaurs in the same river bed found in Texas. Again, proof they coexisted.
And why do people think that the Bible is a translation of a translation of a translation? Ever heard of the Dead Sea scrolls?
Not to mention that absolutely nothing has ever been proven wrong in the Bible. Nothing.
You can believe what you want to believe. But if you're going to put your faith in something, why not GOD instead of scientists? "Science" is always changing.

I am not religious in any way but I don't believe that we were made. I do believe that we did evolve somehow. Because humans have not been on earth for that long if you think about it. I just believe we evolved just like most other things have. I do believe we evolved from animals such as monkeys since they are very similar to humans and some monkeys are very tame and nice towards humans and get on well with them, this could mean that we are one of them. Ok got a bit of topic there about the monkey idea but yes I believe we evolved

I'd totally respond to that video ^^ with a video of The Amazing Atheist's response to that same video, but the language is not suitable for this site. Watch it if you want. I'd even suggest watching Jaclyn Glenn's video(s) on evolution. She explains it pretty well and without as much hostility as TAA.

Oh, I fully agree. I was just saying that as a potential counter argument or if someone else may find other videos interesting. Just throwing out sources with different viewpoints and explanations. Just trying get mind juices flowing.

Science is based on facts and the Bible is a book written by people for moral guidance it is by NO WAY MEANS a reference as to what you may or may not think that happened.

And ummm we do not put faith in scientists we respect them and learn from the factual evidence they provide us which is more that can be said for the fear mongering bible which demands we do things and if we don't respect a Bearded cloud fairy then we shall be punished. Jesus may have existed and I for on would definitely hire him as an inspirational speaker should I ever need one but feeding the five thousand, making blind men see, raising people from the dead, and my personal favourite turning water into wine.
I don't think you have ever read the bible tbh because with all the parables and life teachings and morally challenging stories I do not see how you can base your argument that the bible is full of facts?
