There is a risk involved in the start, but if you make it big or even semi-big, you will make most of what you spent back + some.
So, if you are willing to put in the time and effort then it is probably worth it.

You shouldn't focusing on getting famous, you should do it out of sole pleasure, and because you enjoy playing video games and want to share your gaming moments with others, not because you only want to get famous and make money.

I would recommend you doing let's plays, walkthroughs, commentaries on CoD is really popular, just playing any game and commentate. Play new games like Watch Dogs and do a series of it

I think the best way to do this is to start off for fun. Don't do it for the money because you will end up like a shitty user. People like the gamers who genuinely play for fun and entertain their audience. If you focus on the money it wont turn out good for you.

Elgato game capture (One of the best or even the best)

I think a custom PC would be better then a laptop

But you want a high end one for gaming and recording like maybe 8 GB Ram if you can get them and windows 7 for gaming just overall a high and one
