If these guys seem to think there's a way then by all means try! I personally have an iPhone 5 which I have previously attempted to downgrade, as I have done so with my A4 iPhone 4 before, by restoring with a custom IPSW. However, Apple changed this as they realised people were just restoring their phones to re-Jailbreak after they crashed it before hand. To do this, you will need to find a version of the IPSW file online because I seriously doubt that you have a copy saved on your computer. These files run about 1-2GB in size. EDIT: I am not just pulling this out of my ****, I have performed plenty of downgrades before due to my use of the iOS betas. It is more than possible to find any IPSW that you need.

You can. When I had an iPhone 4S I downgraded from iOS 7 beta 6 to iOS 6.1.1 before I restored with iOS 7.0 live. I believe 6.1.2 was the current version for iPhone 4S at the time.

EDIT: It may be worth noting that I have never done a small downgrade. All of my downgrades have always spanned generational gaps.

Ah, I think you must have done that during a signing window then, as I can assure you that if you try to option+click restore with the right IPSW, with A5 devices you will get an error say something along the lines of "This device is not eligible for a software restore"
