Sorry for this, as i can almost guarantee that this is a re post, anyways:

I'm looking to RGH my old falcon that i have lying around, but I've seen different forum posts and different videos which tell me to get different things, so I'll ask you guys:

1. I want an RGH1 falcon, not RGH2. Its current dash is 12xxx, so should i update?
2. What do i need? I understand that i need a cool-runner rev.c and a j-programmer (Chose this over nand-x because it comes with the connection cable), but what are QSB's, and are they a "must-have"? As some forum posts mention them, whilst others don't.
3. Do i only need to connect the wires to the board, or do i need to solder some of the holes in the mobo? My dad does the soldering, so he wants to get very clear instructions
