A parallel universe is an universe along side side this one, runs in the same space. It's very difficult to describe, actually no its not. Imagine a radio, if the radio was tuned into for example, BBC radio 1. In the same space, all the other radio stations are there. There is BBC radio on, BBC radio, there are all sorts of stations out there. They're all existing in the same space.

But your radio only tunes into one frequency at a time. So you could have BBC Radio 1, but it is completely unaware that all the other radio stations are in the same space as them. It's just because it vibrates as a different frequency that other stations. That's how radio's work. Universes work pretty much in the same terms. We exist in this universe in the exact same place, just on a different frequency.

There is another universe, this is so mind boggling and confusing because when you think about it, you have to say that there are infinite amount of universes because frequency in infinite, you can always add a zero or one on the end of your number and it has a new frequency. So each frequency is separate but there are infinite amount of.

Each universe is slightly different than the one we are in now.. and because its infinite if it can it will happen all at the same time.

For example, there is an infinite amount of universes in which I am alive, and there is an infinite amount of universes in which I am dead! here is an infinite amount of universes in which i didn't even exist in the first place. There is an infinite amount of universes in which god is real, here is an infinite amount of universes in which we breath nitrogen instead of oxygen. Infinite is infinite.

Time travel works the same way, except, You know what, just look at the live typing here: livetyping.com/846230.gif

The reason I think of time travel like that, is because what ever you try to prove by going in time, it might not happen in that frequency. You have to think, that any eventually does happen right now. Right now there is a universe where aliens are looking at a destroyed Earth, there is an universe where the comment didn't wipe out the dinosaurs, there's a universe in where we didn't evolve. I think you get the point, anything that can / could happen, DOES happen. Just not in the same universe.

If there was time travel, our technology would be infinitely better and most things would have advanced infinitely faster, because as soon as something is revolutionized, they would take that knowledge back in time and if there was a maximum "level" of technology, it would have been reached already.

That's where people get the concept of going back in time. People argue with the jist of your point, "if time travel is real, technology would be advanced and people would come back already.

But, as I stated above "by going in time, it might not happen in that frequency. You have to think, that any eventually does happen right now. Right now there is a universe where aliens are looking at a destroyed Earth, there is an universe where the comment didn't wipe out the dinosaurs, there's a universe in where we didn't evolve. So yes, maybe our technology has been advanced to the max. But it hasn't on this so called 'frequency' but on another it is quite possible although we will never know because we are separated by infinite time.

The point still stands, if there was time travel, they would have spread it across all frequencies before time began effectively.

This is the basic description of string theory, it's a possibility. But nothing is certain as when working with Quantum theory's such as this, you can only estimate.
