So, I was wondering if the Elgato is really worth buying. The only real question I have about it is if you need REALLY fast internet to stream with it. My internet is fine and gets the job done but isn't the fastest internet in the world. So if anyone can answer this, I'd be much obliged

I had it and it's a good device for streaming. Your ability to run a stream without any lag depends on your upload speed and what resolution your stream is in.

It's recommended to have a upload speed of 1 MB/S but I would aim higher than that.

If you were able to do a speed test and show us we would be able to give you a better answer.

What if my upload speed is 3 mb/s? How would that run streaming?

Dude, I'm not going to lie my internet was poor. I bought an elgato and streaming seemed perfect for me. Amazing quality!

You wouldn't regret buying one!:-)

The elgato doesn't determine how fast it will stream your content. Streaming is based off your internet speed. If you have a 3meg+ internet you're probably good.

It should work pretty well.
