This isn't a bad idea although, I still think teachers should be trained and have a taser near by at all times.
What about bullet proof doors that can only be opened with a card or from the inside.

No its all stupid just because it happened one or two times doesn't mean every one needs to be a bunch of ****** and hide in the corner.

Good idea, but don't see this helping much if I'm honest.

I mean for starters, they aren't being carried round with everyone the whole day, so if such a tragedy was to happen, chances are they wouldn't have them on them.

Also, what's going to stop the shooter to shoot the people in the sides?

Or they could spend more time and effort into actually trying to solve the root of the problem; mental health and gun laws etc.

Prevention is better than curing.

What do you think of this?

I think this is ridiculous, i looks like those blankets wont protect anything there sides are wide open.

Also, if people were really concerned about school shootings metal detectors and pat downs will do the job just fine.

Are you going to pat down everyone who enters the building every day?

they did at my old school and im being 100% honest

TheYes only do that for lest just say "troubled students" in my state. Where do you live or were you sent to an alternative school for problem children.

It doesn't look like it would be very effective. If he really wanted to shoot someone that is not going to stop him.

Sure it could help for bullet spraying though.

This is nuts any avid shooter can get around that, The solution isn't having kevlar for when a shooting happens the solution is have a locked up shotgun in the Principles office and when and only when a teacher who is trained and has a firearms license grabs it and takes out said shooter.

Here's an update about it, apparently they've gotten several private and public schools already trying to get their hands on these.

"We have been contacted by several private and public schools that have shown great interest and by many concerned parents wanting to purchase them as well," he told the Post in an email. "Private sales have been very spirited and far greater than anticipated."
