500 - 700 for the card???

You dont need to spend that much on a card

100-250 will get you a decent card that can run on high settings! Ive got GTX 660 and runs on high on all my games!

But he may want to run any game on maximum settings plus he's probably going to want to spend around 500-700 as newer games are becoming more demanding.
