Not much into monitor brands but I heard Benq has pretty good ones for gaming. They sponsor a few pro teams I believe

BenQ is high up there in monitors.
I recommend a monitor with a 1 ms refresh time.
Those kind of monitors are very good, but can be quite expensive.

For playing at 60 Hz, I'd suggest an IPS/PLS/VA/etc. monitor instead of TN because the better image quality will be more important than an low response time, which you may not even notice.
Without a budget or any other guidelines, we can't suggest anything for you.
To those suggesting BenQ monitors, it's their high-end 120 Hz+ monitors that are noteworthy their 60 Hz TN models are as average as they come.

Exactly, 120 Hz is remarkable!
But I would like to respectfully disagree on your part about not being able to notice the refresh rate.
Even by switching between HD TV's you can see a difference between at least 2 of them.
So imagine switching from an HDTV to a professional hardware such as BenQ with a 1ms refresh rate.
