Synopsis
Killing Floor is a Co-op Survival Horror FPS set in the devastated cities and countryside of England after a series of cloning experiments for the military goes horribly wrong. You and your friends are members of the military dropped into these locations with a simple mission: Survive long enough to cleanse the area of the failed experiments!
Gameplay
Killing Floor is my favorite survival game. With nine different monsters to fight, each wave is more unique and dangerous than the last. There is a multitude of characters to play as, each with their own traits and skills. Your main goal in the game is to survive until the boss level, then defeat the boss using weapons you can purchase at the weapons dealer at the end of each round. The gameplay continues to be even more unique when we take a look at the maps for Killing Floor. You can choose to play on community created maps, maps supplied by DLC, or maps given by default. I highly recommend you play this game with friends.
Graphics
I am heavily impressed with the graphics in this game. They are a grungy, yet wonderful take on horror. The environments and cities the game takes place in are beautifully modeled and textured. There are over 9 different monsters to face, each with unique bodies and textures that we can only assume took forever to make based on the quality of them. The developers have a keen sense of detail as you can see on the weapons, character models, maps, and monsters.
Controls/Customization
Killing Floor has a huge set of complex, customizable controls, so if you don't like what a key is binded to you can change it to whatever you want. The controls are hard to learn at first, but after a few games anyone should be able to get the hang of them. All of the options when it comes to movement, aiming, and communication make the gameplay more efficient. There is two whole pages of game, audio, and video settings. This game should highly appeal to anyone who loves lots of settings customization, loves playing with friends, and just enjoys an overall good game.
