What are the readings from a more detailed program like HWMonitor?

See what the BIOS says the CPU temp is. HWMonitor and Speccy could be using a different temp scale.

I had this issue for the past week and a half. You might need to re-seat the heatsink or just wait for your new cooler. I had a friend come by with an old fan of his he never used as well as some thermal paste, now my CPU runs 30c less than it did.

thanks for the reply, i just started the pc up en its at 65c so i think the sensor is a bit broken, ill re/seat the sink and the new cooler is a win/win anyways, longer life span and much much cooler.

Have you checked the temp from the BIOS, yet?

both HWmonitor, Speccy and the bios bounce between 50c and 90c, but i'm getting less worried, i was idling with 50c then start Teamspeak and it jumped to 80c ish, i think/hope the sensor is just broke, pfeh
