Well the title says it all. If that doesn't happen to be the case, what could it also be? It worked fine but after RTE (and some time passed b/c I didn't use my RGH) it stopped working. The only other thing I can think of that I did was update my kernel. As soon as I insert a disk, it immediately says Open Tray. Thanks!

You probably put in the wrong DVD Key when updating kernel, RTE literally has nothing to do with the DVD drive

True, but you never know. As for what you said, I just updated my kernel again making sure everything was correct and I still have the same problem (updated to 16547)

Rte will not mess up your disk drive you didnt use your dvd key just go to xell or dashlaunch type into a note pad document and sabe it there then do the update again
