I made this a couple of weeks ago, and just thought i'd share it with you guys. It took about 3 hours to complete.
It's the first time I've tried low-poly in Illustrator, and i'm fairly happy with the result.
Artwork
Layers
Constructive criticism and feedback is appreciated as always. Thanks for looking!

I really appreciate low poly designs. They are hard to do, take time and effort, and look great when they are done right. And, you did this one right.
The colors are nice, giraffe looks realistic, and...I just generally like these type of designs.
HOWEVER, your layers need WORK. You need to work in multiple layers instead of JUST 1 and NAME things while you work and group them so you can find things when needed. Practice your layers and keep up the good work with polygons.
Lastly, I feel the background needs a color change to something more neutral.

Seems like low poly is the new hype style now, not a personal fan of it but this is how its supposed to be done. Well done :badger:

I've got into a bad habit with the layers in the Adobe Suite.. I always get carried away with the artwork, and forget the importance of organisation. I guess that's something I can make a priority of fixing in future projects!
Thank you both for the feedback.

I don't really like it but
This is very good work.
10/10
Are you sure you didn't use a filter?
Edit: Never mind about the filter I didn't see the layers.
Sorry

OT.
Personally for me I would have preferred a more profile view. As it is all I can see is his big fat nose lol.
Other than that its grand. the sizing of the polys is nice and the shading is nice also

That is actually really creative. I enjoy the flow of colors to grasp the 3D concepts. I really think you did a great job on it. 10/10.

You should try and experiment with the outcome and not just add a blue background.
I think you should try and work with it in Photoshop.
For example:
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Overall, I like this piece. Really simple, but complex.
I agree with Asymmetrical, a different angle would have been better.
Nice!

Thanks for the feedback!
The reason I didn't do it in Photoshop is because I wanted it to be vector instead of raster, so it's suitable for print (someone asked for it to be printed). I guess I could try exporting the polygons from Illustrator to Photoshop, and try finding a suitable background.
The example you linked me looks awesome. I haven't seen it done before. I may make a desktop background or something in the future, using the photograph/low poly style within Photoshop. I'll try and pick a better angle next time too.
