Okay so I did everything right and my phone rebooted, but when it comes back on the screen shows, "Welcome to Pangu Jailbreak," and I am unable to do anything further. My phone just keeps rebooting.. I have an iPhone 4 with ios 7.1.1...

Just restore and try to jailbreak again. It worked perfectly fine for my friend's iPhone 4. Make sure that the box isn't checked, as it will mess up some stuff.

well if you backed up your phone through iTunes before you attempted the jailbreak, like you should've, then it is easy.. Just google it since I am too lazy to type it out but you basically just restore from your backup.

yeah I got it now. it kind of scared me because I unplugged my phone and it just kept doing it, but I held down the home and lock button for like 30 seconds and it went into recovery mode.
