1 player can not simply carry a whole team. If you could, then Portugal would be through.
Scotland could not beat USA. Scotland could not beat Mexico. Scotland could not beat Costa Rica. Scotland might be able to tie Honduras. Scotland could not qualify.

Under Gordan Strachan I would fancy my chances against every team in the qualifying group that the USA must go through. Strachan has got us playing with confidence and we are now going into games knowing that we will get results. I am confident that Scotland will be going to France come 2016. When we had the 0-0 draw at Hampden it was hardly the best Scotland side. We started players who are not usual starters as this was during the time when Strachan was experimenting with new players in our system. I think that Scotland at the moment can see out any team mentioned. I will go as far to say that we are a far stronger side than the USA. We have a superior depth and are a solid unit.

Scotland has produced footballers which the USA could only dream of producing. We have seen a massive improvement under the Strachan system and are going into our Euro 2016 qualifying group as the second highest ranked country. We are higher ranked than many of the teams in this World Cup. Scotland is one of the most historically famous footballing countries. Yes Cesc is making an arse of himself but he is correct in saying that Belgium will win.
