Well in one year, I'm going to get my 350z (YAYAYAYAY!!! I've already talked to my mom and she said we can get me one next year, as long as I work and keep my grades up, which will happen :satisfied: :bigups: )
Now, my biggest concern is what to get... manual or automatic, I know you will say manual for most of you UK people because that's mainly what the cars are over there but over here in the US traffic at about 5:00 is extremely awful)
Where I live there are stop signs everywhere, about 20 feet from each other and between those you're going to have to shift to 2nd then when you stop go back to first then repeat about 5 more times, which will get very annoying. I just wanna get in and go, ya feel?
I also know that if you drive manual you are basically in control of the car, if you miss a shift you can ruin the car, and i'm not about that life.
My main concern is just making my feet hurt and at school I'll get called a  or a girl if I get an automatic, but it's my car so whatevs
I just want your guys opinion. I feel like automatic is more easy and just fun and you can just cruise without putting effort into anything. But if I'm in 3:00/5:00 traffic I'll constantly have to stop and start over and over and that will get super annoying
Manuals do get better gas mileage don't get me wrong but maybe like a few miles. What's your input, do any of you guys have an automatic sports car?
Or what's your input on my situation. I'd like some help on this, because this is a one in a life time decision.

I'd say if you want to relax and drive, automatic is for you. I switched from an auto to a manual and I'd say manual is way better!Better gas mileage, i've sat in traffic, and its not to bad i my opinion, cause you can keep it in first gear and slowly just release the clutch and you will roll. If you're getting a 350z , id say get a manual!

Automatic transmission doesn't ruin the vehicle, it's just the person's preference.
If you got bad traffic I would go for an automatic, but if you wanna have a little fun (imo) I'd go with a manual.

I would only get one if you wont be stuck in traffic. I live in central florida. So a manual wasnt a option (my skyline is going to be a track and weekend car with manual). But for my daily driver i had to go automatic.

My car is a manual and I'm from the UK so that's pretty much most cars over here. Manual is definitely better though as it's much more fun to drive in my opinion and you can change gear whenever you want. Also in terms of learning to drive you can go from manual to automatic but not the other way around.

Id still say manual, because yea, maybe its annoying, but only when you're getting started. Once you get really used to driving stick, its almost second nature and it really won't bother you shifting from 2nd to 5th back down to 3rd then 2nd then 1st all the way up to 5th or 6th. So, id get the manual and just practice alot until it is second nature.
