I dont have a clue what to do! I got a computer today with the linux system installed as i already had the windows 7 disk but i cant get it to install, can anyone give me a tutorial or at least tell me how to install it as i dont know how to use linux at all

1) Go into BIOS, google your motherboard name, usually it's DEL or F2. Can Vary.
2) Go to Boot Priority or something similar then set it to CD or USB what ever you are using
3) Boot from the CD, should prompt you to press a key to boot from CD.
4) Go through the installation process, it's pretty simple. Make sure you format your drive and BACKUP EVERYTHING before you do!!!!

ive done all that but when i go to install windows it says that there is no free space. I need to chance the format of the hardrive but cannot how do i go about this? do i need to format another disk with another operating system installed on the disk?

I usually just go into Advanced Options in the Windows installer and click delete on every volume, besides the additional hard drives I have which have data on. and then click on the Drive I want to use as my OS then hit install. If there's any error codes coming up trying giving them a quick google search

is there an option for that? can i see any screenshots? when i load up the windows installation disk then click on custom it goes straight to the select a drive part then tells me that there is no space available in the harddrive
