One of the main reasons I hate going online these days, back in the day barely anybody did it, now you have people running around with booters hitting IPs just for fun. People think they're cool reading off your location and ISP thinking they're top notch. Never been into any of that, just ruins the fun of gaming.
The entire reason of why I got a VPN ages ago, got sick of getting hit in Matchmaking in Halo and if you ever say anything to anyone you get hit off, it's ridiculous.

I get you. I was playing minecraft earlier and some kid threatened to "hit me off for a year" as he worded it, for scamming him some items on a minecraft server. When I heard that I couldn't believe people actually threaten to do this! The worst part is, he said brb and never came back, he didn't even "hit me off for a year"

yeah BO2 league play is literally unplayable because of kids wanting to cheat their way to masters rank 1, a few weeks ago I was playing clubs with 2 friends on FIFA 14 when some kid hit me and a friend offline because they were losing 1-0 going into the second half..

yeah kids just lay down and pull IPs and wait for their booting program to do the rest, they take no time at all to bother practicing in game and playing for the competition and challenge they just overload your internet and think it makes them some L33T H4X0R

I agree booting is a cheap tactic, but let me give you a few examples where it's handy

1. Just playing with your friends and you run into someone with a jtag/rgh and that person threatens you, your team, derank, etc...

2. MW3 is now flooded with godmode skids

3. Trolls, trash talkers, people who pick on younger kids or girls, douchebags

4. Other people threatening to boot you and or your team, "hack your account" lol

5. Lag switchers

Since Microsoft doesn't really police lobbies like they should, sometimes a little street justice is necessary. I usually don't talk in lobbies, but the things these kids claim now a days is absurd. Don't make idle threats kids, never know who's listening.

Booting in league play is for sad desperate kids

DDOS (booting offline) holds a sentence of 10 years in the UK and I think that it should be more enforced to stop people like this doing it to people just trying to have fun.

They don't necessarily think it's cool.

In most cases the truth is they are average players and they boot people to go on big win streaks and they don't have to play against teams they would struggle to beat or loose against.

It's gotten so bad I've stopped playing league play on BO2, nothing is more annoying than getting -150 because some fat horrible **** pushes a few buttons on his computer.
