This isn't really an annoyance anything but just seems a little bit on the tad pointless side.
I've seen a lot of people throughout the years who put "-(Insert TTG Username Here)" and sign off.
I mean, we can see your username already so we know who you are.
I don't know why but it's just one of them random things that irritate me.
Example :

People think it looks more professional and neat but I have never done it myself.

I know so many people on here that do it, but I don't really have a problem with unless you use it to bypass the character limit.

Putting your name again makes you look a bit douchey in my eyes

I've been here for like 3 years now?
Ive seen it a lot, a lot of people used to do it.
i used to do it.
It just made the post look a tad more professional and if you were posting something short adding the signiture at the end was a good way to fill up the 20 characters thing without getting a warning or something silly.
It also kinda shows that you put more effort into your posts, instead of just slapping a load of text down and submitting it.
For example i always align my text to the centre, i think it looks better like that.
