I just bought an SSD for my Xbox 360 Slim. I was wondering if I can just put the drive in my Xbox and the Xbox will format it for me or do i need to plug it into my computer and format it manually myself? If there is anything else I need to know, feel free to tell me.

Unless your slim is RGHed, you might be out of luck.
Xbox hard drives have special security sectors which means not just any hard drive will work in an xbox. You can look [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for a list of compatible drives and the software necessary to make them work in the 360.

No offense but i think it would be over kill to have a SSD in a console as the console will not use it to its potential
