Alright well my friend wants to get into game recording, but he doesn't know what recording device to get. We heard the elgato is good but a lot of people don't like it. And hes not sure which HDPVR to get because there is the regular HDPVR and the HDPVR gameing edition.

Also he will be rocording gameplay on the xbox 360, and uploading them to youtube.

All suggestions/help are much appreciated.

Please name the device and the price and maybe even a link please?

I have the elgato, and it works fine. My only problem with it is that viewing the video on the computer there is a two second delay, it's a little annoying when streaming as I would like to play some of the games off of my monitor instead of my TV.

If he only wants either a HDPVR or HDPVR Gaming Edition then definitely go with gaming edition because it comes with all the cords that you need, the normal edition does not.
