So I have two monitors. One was set up with a DVI input while the other one was on HDMI. The one using HDMI looked a lot more orange and fuzzy, so I switched it to a DVI input. So, now they're both using DVI, but my computer thinks I have three monitors plugged in now.
How can I get rid of the nonexistent third monitor in my displays setup?

Check Device Manager and uninstall any inactive display devices. Also try selecting the nonexistent monitor and clicking "Remove this display" in the Multiple Displays drop-down menu if the option is there.

Uninstalling the monitor from the Device Manager worked, although I had to guess which "Generic PnP Monitor" to uninstall.
There's no option to uninstall from the Displays menu, but my problem is resolved, thanks.

Nice job fixing the error. Also if you have a Nvidia card, right click on the desktop and hit nvidia control panel. You may be able to fix that issue with that as-well in the future.
