Why though my other account only received a two week suspension for this.
The most likely reason for this is that the XBLET can see that both of those accounts have been associated with "cheating" and at one time or another they have been linked through the same ip address so they can see that you own both of the accounts, the 2 week suspension you received was considered as a warning from them so when you accidentally joined this type of lobby again they can already see that your accounts have been noted for cheating so you received a permanent ban instead.
This isn't really my account its a buddy of mines I'm helping him resolve this issue because I got him in the lobby. My ip is not affiliated with this account in no way!

This, my friends, is more than likely the legitimate answer.
Regardless, you probably should have thought it through even if you did accidentally join one.
Yeah but either way this still shouldn't be a permanent suspension for his first time ever modding anything!

The XBLPET just upsets me know, before they were banning anybody who got into a lobby, now they are just issuing 2 weeks bans. It's sad cause games are getting ruined but yet only 2 week bans. I myself last an account a few years back, I was a 2 year member zero bans, yet I sent a message saying that I will get you in a lobby for a 48 hour code and I get a 12/31/9999 ban just like that. Extremely harsh in my opinion but lets users get into modded lobbies and only issue them a 2 week.

You are using XBL. Its their service they are providing for you, in turn you pay $60 a year for a membership. You checked off that you read the TOS, so you are the one who is at fault. They can ban you for however long, its just like complaining to my mom that they only get grounded for 2 days why am I grounded for 2 months. They dont have to ban everyone for the same length. Its their service, you used it, they can do what they want within their guidelines.

You had to of known there was a chance of this happening when you got into it. If you intentionally join a challenge lobby, or any modded lobby for that matter you always have a chance of getting banned, it's true that some people only get 2 week suspensions but that's because they probably only did it once. If you did it more than once your consequences will be more severe. It's sad but it's true.

A bit off topic, but since when did they include the Enforcement Agent that issues the suspension in the email? I thought that info was private?

I thought that info was private?Emails are meant to be kept private, as the are until someone shares the information. I think its just for more formality reasons than anything else. Make them seem more professional. Also so you can possibly contact for more in depth information?

He most likely posted on the forums and a member of the enforcement team replied after going through the information on the ban.

I recently got a two week suspension for joining a challenge lobby. I guess you got unlucky. If you make a new account try to do things legit to avoid another ban / suspension.

Using modifications and what not have the same consequences as drug use.
You could use it a hundred times and never get hurt, or you could use it the first time and die. It is better to stay away from both.
Also, you knew in the back of your head what COULD happen when joining into that lobby, so therefore even though I feel being permanently banned was a bit much, it is still your punishment and therefore it should stand.
