I know it's not a gaming pc as it wasn't initially for gaming but it plays minecraft modpacks with no problem and wondered if it would play dayz

Well I am going to provide you with some useful information

The APU Seems very terrible

I would think maybe it may run those games better at 720p

That is turbo boost to 3.1ghz
and i can play most games on low/medium but i hate using a laptop for gaming its not smooth or high quality normally due to a 512MB graphics card

So overall opinion is that it could run it just very poorly?

If you were to run this game on lowest settings you'd be LUCKY to hit 25 Fps outside of towns, inside towns you'd be lucky to hit 15-18.

But in most cases you will hit about 15 outside of the towns and around 10 or so inside... it will be unplayable.

You have an APU processor meaning the graphics are integrated in the CPU so you don't have a dedicated GPU (Graphics card) it's integrated into the CPU which means it's very weak.

Don't waste money on the game it won't be fun for you because the fps will be horrid.
