Mario games, Sonic, I'd say Nintendo is more family oriented.
Hope I helped.

Most certainly games that are not graphical in any way, games such as Mario, Rayman, Minecraft, Sega superstar tennis. Games without violence but are extremely fun.

Well considering her age and her new found liking for video games I'd say some great starters would be stuff like, Mario, Minecraft, some easy indie games, and if she has a 3DS or another nintendo handheld I'd say Pokemon, Zelda games, Braverly Default. Just start her out with come casual games so she can get use to the controls and stuff

You should definitely introduce her to Minecraft, hell I still play it. Hours of fun, never gets old.

Well any games from the Mario franchise, especially some of the originals like Super Mario bros/duck hunt, SMB 2, SMB3, the first few Sonic games. Get her into some retro games as those are always a great place to start.
