If you know the DVDKey or can find it out, then just flash your NAND with that DVDKey.
If not you will have to flash the drive with the same dvdkey as the NAND.

HE is using his original BOARD there is NO reason to be looking at the dvd key. Just saying, but i would replace the laser from the old drive to the new one. or turn up your laser.

Do you know what you are talking about?
He is putting a new drive on his old (original) drives board. Of course the dvdkey would matter. The board and drive now have different dvdkeys so won't communicate with each other. Since it is an rgh, the NAND could be patched with the dvdkey of the new drive (so the board matches the dvdkey of the drive). However if he doesn't know the dvdkey of the drive, then the new drive needs to be flashed with the dvdkey of the old drive (so it matches the board).
